Developing proper nutritional habits in this day and age is not an easy task, but not developing those habits has overwhelming consequences. Our school is very concerned about this aspect of our student’s lives. We know that it has an effect on their total well-being and may have an impact on their academic performance as well.

Lunch Menus

Each month we like to post the menu for students and parents to see what will be offered at both campuses. While the menu for each month should be posted, please offer a measure of grace as it may not get posted until after the month has started. Thank you!

Following the National School Lunch Program, we are required to serve/offer food from several components identified by the following lunch menu example: 

The lunch to the right meets this by serving the following foods/serving size

  • Mexican Crispito = 1 oz meat and 1 1/4 grain serving 
  • Fresh Apple = 1/2 cup fruit
  • Sugar Snap Peas, Carrots & Tomatoes = 1/2 cup vegetable with ranch cup
  • Refried Beans = 1/2 cup legume vegetable
  • Tostito Chips = 1 grain
  • Nacho Cheese = 1 meat alternate
  • 8 oz. Fat free chocolate milk.

Important: If you will be arriving late please call your child's lunch in no later than 10 am so that we may have your child's lunch prepared on time.

UNION ST. CAMPUS SPECIFIC NOTES:

  • Peanut Butter and Jelly (PBJ) meals are offered daily with cheese or yogurt a whole grain item, choice of three items from the fruit and vegetable bar or vegetable of the day, milk.
  • Build Your Own Salad is offered daily. This includes: Lettuce, 2 additional fruit or vegetable choices from the fruit and vegetable bar or the vegetable of the day, 1 whole grain choice, milk.
  • Water is available for all students daily at no charge.
  • The fruit and vegetable bar and vegetable bar and vegetable of the day is offered daily to all students ordering lunch.

GETZ RD CAMPUS SPECIFIC NOTES:

  • Peanut Butter and Jelly (PBJ Meal) is available every day for your child. They will receive a PBJ, cheese or yogurt, one whole grain item, milk and the fruit and vegetable listed on the main menu.
  • Water is available for all students daily at no charge.

EMMANUEL PRESCHOOL SPECIFIC NOTES:

  • Peanut Butter and Jelly (PBJ Meal) is available every day for your child. They will receive a PBJ, cheese or yogurt and the fruit and vegetables listed on the Main Menu.
  • Note: Emmanuel Preschool lunches follow the USDA meat standards as required by the Health/Hunger-Free Kids Network.
