Mrs. Kim Faley
Teacher - Grade 2
Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mrs. Kim Faley attended Southwest Allen County Schools and graduated from Homestead High School. Ever since she was in first grade, she knew she wanted to be a teacher. She fulfilled that dream in 2001, graduating from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne with a degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Faley loved learning and went on to continue her education and received a masters degree in Elementary Education from Olivet Nazarene in 2009. Her teaching career began with East Allen County Schools where she taught in various positions in multiple schools across the district. She has taught Kindergarten through 8th grade and has also been an interventionist, worked with struggling students, was a high-ability teacher, and an instructional coach. During the summer, Mrs. Faley wrote 2nd grade curriculum for the district. Teaching 2nd grade, however, is by far her favorite. She loves this age level and the excitement and enthusiasm of the kids.
Mrs. Faley is married to Marty Faley and they have three children, Cayden, Chris, and Ella, who have all gone through ESM from pre-k through 8th grade. Mrs. Faley enjoys putting together puzzles, relaxing on the couch and watching a good show, and organizing things. She also likes to explore new places, try new restaurants, and spend warm weekends at the lake.
