Mrs. Jennifer Clendenen
Progress Partner - Getz Road Campus
Jen Clendenen is currently serving ESM as a Progress Partner Instructional Coach. Here’s a fun fact—a Clendenen has been attending or on staff at ESM since 1982!
Jennifer joined ESM in 2005 as a 2nd-grade teacher, and she has spent the last couple of years primarily focused on literacy instruction. She holds an Early Literacy Endorsement, an Elementary Education degree from IPFW, and has completed the colloquy program through Concordia University Chicago.
She is passionate about the Science of Reading, dedicating her work to helping teachers implement practices aligned with how the brain actually learns to read (which requires the brain to literally rewire itself!). She finds great joy in working alongside ESM's all-star staff as they deliver research-based instructional methods.
Outside of the classroom, you can often find her serving on the PTL, finding it a wonderful way to serve the school and connect with the community. She and her husband, Jacob, attend St. Michael Lutheran Church, and their family includes four children: Jackson and Ava attend ESM, Lucas is a senior at Concordia Lutheran High School, and their oldest daughter, Kira, attends Ball State’s Teacher College. See Jen if you're looking to get involved or connected with the ESM community.
