Mrs. Gretchen Weerts

Inspiring our young ones to live active and healthy lifestyles is the goal of our K-3 P.E. teacher, Gretchen Weerts. Her position affords her the unique opportunity to have contact with every student in the building three times a week. Gretchen completed her undergraduate degree at Concordia University Nebraska and her master’s program at Indiana University. Prior to teaching, Gretchen held the title of Director of Christian Education at Redeemer Lutheran in Highland, Indiana. She and her husband Joel have two adult sons and are members of St. Michael Lutheran Church where Gretchen’s contributions as adult Bible study leader, adult choir member, and greeter are greatly valued.
