Mrs. Karen Houser

The youngest contingent of our student population delights in calling Karen Houser their kindergarten teacher. This school year marks Karen’s fourteen year of teaching, nine as part of ESM’s staff. She earned her undergraduate degree at Indiana Purdue in Fort Wayne with a kindergarten endorsement. She and her husband Gary are gratified in their roles as parents of four children and three grandchildren. Karen and Gary are members of St. Michael Lutheran Church where Karen sings in the adult choir. Beyond the classroom, Karen takes pleasure in traveling, reading, hiking and gardening.
