Sue Henry (Kindergarten)

Kindergarten is a very exciting, foundational year for children.  While kindergarten students must learn a great deal of pre-determined content, most studies also show that children younger than eight do not learn isolated facts successfully.  Our goal is to help them learn the required curriculum and become muti-faceted critical thinkers as well.

ESM Kindergarten classes allow children to become active participants in their own learning.  Each child comes from unique situations and varying experiences. We create a Christ-centered  environment that facilitates learning at all their levels of experience and comfort.  From seat work, to journals, to quiet reading time, to computers, to center time (and much more. . .), children are challenged to do their best in every area.  The best part?  They have so much fun learning they don't realize they are learning -- or working -- at all!
