Resource Room Getz Road Mrs. Jenny Holloway LSEM (Lutheran Special Education Ministries) Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Mildly Mentally Handicapped from Ball State University. Masters degree from Ball State University in Learning Disabilities. Professional Activities: Mentors teachers, participated in development and implementation of K-2 early intervention program.

Responsibilities and Services of Resource Room Teachers Reviews and interprets educational data such as student work, school records, educational information from outside sources and other pertinent information Conducts classroom observations and evaluations (informal and formal) for potential students with special needs and /or in need of special education. Confers with parents, general education teachers and principals to: develop educational experiences, provide feedback, describe disabilities, provide effective strategies, identify community resources to parents, and teachers that address the needs of students, and coordinate student evaluation, referral, placement and scheduling. Provides direct instruction using diagnostic prescriptive teaching in a small group environment to those students with identified needs in pre-reading, reading, math, spelling, writing or study skills. Monitors student progress with formal and informal measurements adjusting curriculum and methods as needs indicate.
